Art/Poetry Books

Our home base for publishing and sharing work that we love, Cereal Box Studio serves as our name-sake imprint for creative projects and cultural work.

Cereal Box Studio is our name-sake imprint featuring a wide range of poetry, essays, art, and graphic expression. Each project is approached with a unique consideration of process, material, and edition size, depending on the goals and intent of the author or artist. A lot of the printed work incorporates risograph printing and/ or binding from our in-house production shop.

Materialist Press

Materialist Press was cofounded by Julia Warner, Ariel Resnikoff, and Livingston Miller. Established in 2015 as a way to publish poetry, creative writing, and fine art on our own terms and with our own methods, the inaugural Materialist served as a limited edition artwork to showcase artists and writers within our creative community. Materialist Press dives deep into the design of book as object, exploring the intersection of poetic form and material production. We are now accepting proposals for new manuscripts to be released 2026-27, on a rolling basis. Please email hello@cerealbox.studio with the heading “Materialist Proposal”.

Tidelines

A community zine in collaboration with Wave Pool, Tidelines was a submission-based publication with contributions from gallery visitors, neighbors, friends, and residents of the Cincinnati region. Each issue responds to a different theme, including drawings, collages, poetry, short stories, and more. Inspired by Camp Washington and its nearby surroundings, submissions were compiled and printed quarterly, resulting in a riso-print archive of the Cereal Box + Wave Pool communities.

Everybody is People

EIP is a print-only community paper that began on the grounds of the Eaux Claires Festival, intent on galvanizing the festival audience as a community and a platform for artists and musicians to continue taking creative risks. Each issue is a collection of submissions from you, the audience, alongside insights, interviews, and more from members of the 37d03d collective and beyond.

Submissions

We are open to publication submissions or proposals by email on a rolling basis. We are currently seeking manuscripts (poetry, essays, or creative writing), as well as art book proposals (photography, illustration, mixed media) for release in 2026-27. Please send manuscripts or book proposals to hello@cerealbox.studio and we would be happy to consider your work for publication. Our publishing contracts usually cover 100% editing and production costs, and offer something in the range of 10-25% royalties.

Even if we choose not to cover 100% production costs, we are open to alternative agreement terms if you are seeking financial support to help fund production or distribution of your project. When we print or publish work, the artist or author always retains 100% rights and we don’t ever require exclusivity.

With your submission, please include your full name and all other contributors involved, plus any publishing agreement goals you might have regarding production or distribution.
