HABITATS

Born in Argentina and now living and working in Cincinnati, interdisciplinary artist Julia Orquera Bianco interrogates cultural constructs resulting from Modern Western Culture, collective memory, and the experience of migration and gender. Her new chapbook HABITATS (Materialist Press) follows the thread connecting individual, community, and environment. Featuring bold colors, graphic illustration, and deeply reflective prose, this artist publication will be printed in a limited first edition and hand-bound. The first 100 copies of the limited edition were accompanied with a mixed media screenprint by the artist.
