numbers

Numbers, a book of visual-poems by Rachel Blau DuPlessis, is a one-woman collage kaballah, decoding and tallying numbers zero to five. Devoting five collage poems each to the text of these numbers, DuPlessis shows a playful concern for the perfect/complete and the imperfect/unstable. Both an artist’s book and a book of poems Numbers salvages colors and debris to confront our startled quotidian lives.
